Ad campaign focuses on TRC as “Agency of Choice” in Chautauqua County

TRC Street JamThe Resource Center’s newest ad in the “Agencies of Choice” campaign features some familiar faces – Michael, Laura and Jennifer Felice.

The Felices recently traveled to the Buffalo studios of WGRZ to be videotaped for TRC’s installment in the “Agencies of Choice” campaign.  The campaign promotes TRC and four similar organization (Heritage Centers in Erie County; Opportunities Unlimited in Niagara County; The Arc of Orleans County; and Genesee Arc) as the “Agencies of Choice” for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families when seeking services.

In the newest segment, the Felices are facing the camera.  Mike says, “In Chautauqua County, there is only one choice for the best services and support for a person with developmental disabilities.”

He then turns to Laura, who adds, “Our family’s agency of choice is The Resource Center.”

TRC extends its gratitude to Mike, Laura and Jennifer for their involvement in the “Agencies of Choice” video.  Mike was the President of The Resource Center’s Board of Directors from 1988 to 1991.  He currently serves on TRC Foundation’s Board and was the Board Chair for a number of years.

Laura has been active on TRC Board Advisory Committees for many years.  She currently serves on the Nominating Committee.  She and Mike also were instrumental in the creation of the Friday night dances held in TRC’s Conference Center once a month, and they volunteer at the dances.

Jennifer receives supports from The Resource Center.  She lives in a TRC home and during the day participates in a community-based Day Habilitation Program.

The “Agencies of Choice” campaign began last year and will continue through 2011.  The ads appear on WGRZ (Channel 2) and on the station’s web site, www.wgrz.com.
