The Resource Center invites staff members, TRC service recipients and their families to submit nominations for our 27th annual Employee Service Awards.
Three awards will be presented:
- Joseph Trusso Jr. Employee of the Year
This award is given annually to a) an individual whose employment at The Resource Center has directly enhanced independence and integration of individuals with disabilities; OR b) an employee who consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty to further TRC’s mission of TRC. A nominee must be a current employee, or a 2011 retiree, to be eligible to receive this award. This award is named in honor of Joe Trusso, who served on TRC’s Board of Directors from 1967-2005. - Norma J. Smith Award for Excellence in Direct Support
This award recognizes excellence in direct support in a residential or day program setting. Nominees should display dedication to enhancing quality of life for persons receiving services from The Resource Center. Nominees must have two years of employment at The Resource Center, in a non-supervisory position. This award was established in honor of the late Norma J. Smith, who worked at TRC from 1983-1991. - Trainer of the Year
This award recognizes an individual who has provided agency training or departmental training on more than one occasion, and in so doing a) shared information that made a significant difference in the way employees approach their jobs; AND/OR b) inspired employees to do their jobs differently or better.
The deadline to submit nominations is Sunday, December 11. The awards will be presented at the annual Employee Service Recognition Luncheon on January 17 in TRC’s Conference Center. Click here to submit a nomination online.
